Staff Revenue Accountant | Mapbox This is a full-time, hybrid/remote role at Mapbox, offering flexibility for US locations. Mapbox is a leading real-time location platform, equipping businesses with tools to power navigation for people, packages, and vehicles globally. The platform is trusted by over 4 million registered developers for its flexibility, security, and privacy compliance, enabling customized and immersive customer experiences through its applications, data, SDKs, and APIs. This role is vital for ensuring accurate revenue recognition and managing the complete order-to-cash cycle, contributing to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company. The TL;DR Role: Full Time Type: Full-time Location: Hybrid/Remote Pay: $102000–$143000 yearly Mission: Ensure accurate revenue recognition and manage the complete order-to-cash cycle to support the financial integrity of the company. Tech Stack: Netsuite, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Stripe, Salesforce, FloQast What You’ll Actually Do Close Support: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close processes for assigned areas. Financial Preparation: Prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis for revenue and accounts receivable related accounts. Accounts Receivable: Manage full accounts receivable processes for committed customers, including invoice preparation, collections, and reserve recommendations. Customer Billing: Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, taxation, and completion of invoicing prerequisites. Order-to-Cash: Manage the order-to-cash process, reviewing contracts, syncing opportunities from SalesForce to Netsuite, and setting up sales orders for proper revenue recognition and compliance. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting. Mid-level professional with a foundation in general and revenue accounting principles. Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, including 1 to 3 years specifically in revenue accounting. Required experience with Netsuite or a similar ERP system. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Demonstrated strong time management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to be results-focused while meeting weekly and monthly billing deadlines. Bonus: CPA certification with Big 4 experience. Experience with Stripe, Salesforce, and FloQast.
