Pay: Pay for the 2026-27 school year ranges from $48,925 to $94,049 for full-time staff. This will be prorated to FTE. Placement is dependent on prior verifiable experience and education level.

Retirement Contribution: The North Santiam School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee's salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees who have worked at least 6 months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Summary

Mari-Linn School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Title-I Interventionist to join our educational team on a part-time (.69 FTE) basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students in developing critical skills, fostering a growth mindset, and implementing effective reading and mathematics intervention strategies. This position requires strong expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to track data, provide professional development, and create a positive learning environment that promotes academic success for all learners.

This position is funded in part through federal Title I resources and serves a Title I schoolwide program. As such, assigned duties and responsibilities will directly support the implementation of federally funded programs and services designed to improve student achievement and provide equitable educational opportunities for all students. The employee will be expected to comply with all applicable federal, state, and district requirements associated with Title I funding and program implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Targeted Academic Intervention: Provide targeted small group and one-on-one instruction to enhance student skills in mathematics and/or reading.
  • Data Tracking & RTI: Assess and identify students' academic levels and needs through various evaluation methods; utilize Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • MTSS & Systems Alignment: Apply thorough knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to build, align, and support academic and behavioral systems across the K-8 environment.
  • Title I Community Engagement: Schedule, plan, promote, and run Title I Nights to engage families, share student progress strategies, and strengthen the school-home partnership.
  • Professional Development: Design and deliver professional development sessions and instructional workshops for teachers and staff focused on evidence-based intervention strategies and data-driven instruction.
  • Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers to integrate effective tier-1 and tier-2 reading and math strategies into the core curriculum.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, accurate, and compliant records of student progress, intervention cycles, and data tracking for Title I reporting.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Current valid Oregon Teaching License with appropriate authorization level required, or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date.
  3. Proven experience as an academic interventionist, classroom teacher, or in a similar instructional support role.
  4. Deep operational understanding of MTSS frameworks, RTI processes, and data-driven decision-making models.
  5. Demonstrated ability to analyze student data using assessment tools to inform and adjust targeted interventions.
  6. Experience planning and facilitating community/family events or school-wide programmatic schedules.
  7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for delivering professional development and engaging with families.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, staff, and parents.
  9. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on research-based intervention best practices.
