Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is located in RIVERDALE, Georgia. This role involves assisting with procedures and providing diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients within the cardiac catheterization lab. The technologist is responsible for preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice, and observing patients during procedures. The position requires performing specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma equivalency with 1-2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree or Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience; BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credential as a Cardiographic Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; Illinois Emergency Management Agency licensure in Radiologic Technology in combination with ARRT credential; any specialty accepted.
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred.
• Additional Information: The technologist will prepare and administer contrast media and medications within acceptable practice guidelines, observe patients during procedures, and ensure all activities follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. The role involves supporting all specialized imaging procedures, including angio and complex vascular interventions, alongside assisting the radiologist or physician assistant.
