Job Summary
The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is based in Utica, New York. This role involves providing care in a high-volume emergency department with a capacity of 64 beds, including specialized areas such as trauma, pediatric, and geriatric units. Candidates are required to bring their active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day. The position entails working days shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Job Details

• Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) TNCC certification must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Education and Experience: Active New York State RN license, with 2 or more years of experience in Emergency Department settings, including some Pediatric experience. Travel experience is required.
• Schedule: Days shift from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Qualifications: Valid drivers license with address matching demographics, EMR experience (Epic), and ability to float as required.
• Additional Information: Charge capability is highly preferred, and a navy blue scrub color is required. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Submission Requirements: Up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of ED experience and travel experience, skills checklist matching specialty, current licenses verification through Nursys, RTO included at the time of submission, and Epic EMR experience. Floating is required.
