Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Counsel to join its Family Law Practice Group in Kalamazoo, MI. This role is ideal for an attorney with a passion for litigation and client advocacy, aiming to build a long-term career in family law. Candidates with at least 3 years of litigation experience in areas such as criminal law or prosecution are encouraged to apply. Duties Represent clients in domestic relations matters, including divorce and child custody. Appear at hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences. Draft pleadings and motions, and conduct legal research. Negotiate settlements and manage discovery. Provide compassionate counsel to clients. Assist with basic estate planning and trust matters. Requirements At least 3 years of litigation experience. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities. Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligibility to become licensed. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
