Job Title:  Material Handler
Location:  Du Bois PA 15801
Work Schedule:  Mon - Fri, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Pay Rate:  USD 18.00 /hr
Contract Type: Contract to hire

The material support role will provide a wide variety of support related to the purchasing, storage, movement and control of materials and equipment. Operate pallet jacks, sit down forklift. Site will recertify. Steel toed boots required (provided by site). Safety glasses and other PPE provided by site.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years’ experience
• Forklift experience preferred (site will recertify)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office
• Experience in logistics, booking, or freight
• Able to read, write, and communicate clearly

Responsibilities:

• Support purchasing, storage, movement, and control of materials and equipment
• Operate pallet jacks and sit-down forklift
• Process and approve freight invoices, code and upload to ERP
• Assist production planning based on workload
• Participate in inventory counts
• Receive and unload shipments
• Run daily shipping orders and tasks
• Enter data in SAP to close orders
• Prepare export, hazardous material, and international documents
• Coordinate with vendors, customer service, and other locations
• Handle claims and resolutions
• Coordinate equipment preventative maintenance
• Follow safety and quality guidelines
• Meet internal and external customer needs

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, walk, write, type, hear, see continuously
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Climb stairs, bend, reach, push, pull
• Work indoors/outdoors, tolerate extreme temperatures, dust, and noise
• Operate computer and phone
