Accounting Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Fairfield, NJ.Overview:A growing manufacturing company in Central New Jersey is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This position will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and process improvement initiatives across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, cost accounting experience, and a proactive approach to driving operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
• Manage multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
• Perform financial analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal control requirements
• Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and inventory-related accounting
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
• Drive process improvements, automation projects, and ERP system enhancements
• Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• Strong experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
