As we continue expanding our Medicare sales operation, we're looking for an experienced Medicare Product Expert to serve as a key resource for our agents on the sales floor.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable, hands-on Medicare professional who can provide real-time assistance to licensed insurance agents throughout the sales and enrollment process.

This position is ideal for someone with extensive Medicare Advantage product knowledge who enjoys solving problems, coaching agents, and helping others succeed.

You'll be the person agents turn to when they need help understanding eligibility, navigating MARx-related questions, comparing plans, or identifying the most appropriate coverage options for a beneficiary.

Your primary mission is simple: Help our agents make informed, accurate, and compliant Medicare recommendations while building their product knowledge and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Medicare Product & Plan Selection Support

• Provide real-time support to agents who need assistance comparing Medicare Advantage (MA), MAPD, PDP, D-SNP, and C-SNP plans.
• Help agents understand plan benefits, provider networks, prescription drug coverage, costs, and eligibility requirements.
• Assist newer agents in identifying suitable coverage options based on each beneficiary's specific healthcare needs.
• Explain carrier-specific plan differences, benefit limitations, and enrollment requirements.
• Help agents understand and properly communicate complex Medicare coverage scenarios.

MARx & Eligibility Assistance

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MARx) system-related questions and workflows.
• Assist agents with Medicare eligibility, enrollment periods, existing coverage, and plan enrollment status questions.
• Help troubleshoot enrollment discrepancies and eligibility challenges using authorized systems and procedures.
• Provide guidance on Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, Extra Help/LIS, and Special Needs Plan qualifications.
• Work with internal operations and carrier resources to resolve complex enrollment questions.

Real-Time Sales Floor Support

• Act as the primary escalation resource when agents encounter challenging Medicare questions during customer calls.
• Provide immediate, practical guidance without unnecessarily interrupting the sales process.
• Help newer agents navigate complex product comparisons and beneficiary situations.
• Support agents using enrollment and comparison platforms such as Sunfire and carrier portals.
• Identify recurring questions and knowledge gaps that can be addressed through additional training.

Agent Development & Product Training

• Provide ongoing coaching to improve agent understanding of Medicare products and benefits.
• Support newly licensed and recently onboarded agents as they transition into live customer conversations.
• Conduct short product-focused training sessions and provide updates on carrier benefits and Medicare changes.
• Collaborate with sales management, training, and compliance teams to strengthen agent performance.
• Help create an environment where agents become increasingly knowledgeable and self-sufficient.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience working with Medicare Advantage products, sales, enrollment, or agent support.
• Strong working knowledge of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D.
• Extensive understanding of Medicare Advantage, MAPD, D-SNP, and C-SNP products.
• Familiarity with MARx-related processes, Medicare eligibility verification, and enrollment troubleshooting.
• Experience comparing Medicare plans and explaining benefits, provider networks, and prescription drug coverage.
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot complex Medicare questions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping other agents succeed.
• Active health insurance producer license.

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a Medicare sales floor specialist, product expert, team lead, trainer, or senior Medicare agent.
• Experience using Sunfire, carrier enrollment portals, and Medicare-related verification tools.
• Experience supporting newly licensed or inexperienced Medicare agents.
• Knowledge of major Medicare Advantage carriers and their product offerings.
• Understanding of CMS Medicare marketing, enrollment, and compliance requirements.
