About This Role
The Day Care Center of New Canaan is hiring a full-time teaching assistant for our four's classroom starting fall of 2026. Applicants must possess one of the following: Bachelors, Associates or CDA in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
Position begins on or about September 1st, 2026
40 hours per week including a one hour unpaid lunch break is provided daily.

What You'll DoJob Responsibilities:
- Be able to work in a team teaching setting
- Assist with planning and implantation of daily activities
- Be courteous and professional
- Maintain a positive attitude when communicating with children and families
- Complete 16 hours of continuing education annually
- Yearly epi-pen & first aid training (center will cover the cost)
- CPR training every 2 years (center will cover the cost)
- 1 year work experience in a childcare setting
