Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13–26 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization conditions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias via telemetry and remote monitoring systems
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Perform and assist with specialized procedures including sheath pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop management
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and port access; administer blood products as ordered
• Float to other units as needed, potentially every shift; participate in storm, hurricane, or disaster response teams as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry AND PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization and pre/post cardiac surgery experience required, including sheath removal
• Proficiency with cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone), central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NC RN license or valid Compact license required; must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
