Staff LPN must have the physical, emotional, & technical abilities to:Work under the direction of the Director of NursesMaintain knowledge of each resident from his/her biosketch and family interviewParticipate in Resident care plan meetingsAccept & verify resident medications delivered from pharmacyVerify receipt of physician orders for medications and other treatmentsAdminister medications per physician's orderClarify physician orders as needed by calling the physician or his/her designeeInsure all medication documentation is current and correct, including medication administration forms, physician orders, change of dosages, etc.Insure medication room is completely stocked with all required continuous, PRN, over-the-counter, and other medications as ordered by the physicianInsure medication room is secured at all timesFollow facility policies regarding disposal of medicationsCommunicate, as needed, with resident family members and other legal representatives in a courteous, professional mannerSupervises and gives direction to aides' 'Work RemotelyNo
