Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Neuro

MED SURG NEURO RN **RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.** REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: BLS required ACLS, CPI, & NIHSS preferred 2 years of experience required First time travelers accepted Neuro experience preferred JOB DETAILS: *THIS IS A NEURO UNIT* Shift: 12hrs 1845-0715 *36 or 48hr contracts accepted* *Will accept longer contracts 13-26 weeks* Float required Weekend Requirement: 12-16 weekend shifts per contract Ratios: 1:5-6 ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Neuro Surgical Procedures and Neuro diagnoses UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, SBAR, & EPIC UNIT ORIENTATION: 2 orientation shifts on the unit after hospital based orientation SCRUBS: Navy *** INTERNAL NOTES *** *MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. *Locals accepted at local rate
