$59.48k - $89.21k

Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders)

Role Overview The Principal and Major Gifts (PMG) Analyst plays a critical role in the complex and varied relationship management that defines the Major Gifts unit. The role works cross‑departmentally to coordinate efforts requiring project management and support of gift officer activities that lead to enhanced revenue capabilities among the PMG team. The PMG Analyst serves as a platform expert on Asana and other project management tools, as well as a facilitator for donor acknowledgements and high‑touch donor data upkeep in MSF’s Salesforce NPSP CRM. The Analyst works directly with the Senior Director and PMG operations colleagues on projects and activities that supply tools and resources to the entire team, such as SharePoint management. The Analyst is responsible for sub‑department project management and coordinating logistics for donor events. Department Accountabilities Key Account Management – Take overall responsibility for designing, developing and delivering the organization’s account management strategy. May also personally manage a few relationships with the most strategic donors. Donor Development – Pursue strategic opportunities in coherence with MSF‑USA’s strategy that create long‑term value for the movement by cultivating partnerships or identifying and developing new geographies, markets or donors for its mission. Donor Relationship Development – Build trust and loyalty with potential donors. At the simplest level, update donors on activities. At a more complex level, build long‑term relationships with donors, especially large corporations or foundations. Roles Specific Outcomes Project Management – Deliver small‑scale or medium‑scale projects while working within an established program management plan. Data Management – Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes. Business Meetings/Events Arrangement – Arrange venues, equipment, catering, accommodation, and travel for participants arriving from various locations to ensure the smooth running of complex large events. Donor Relationship Management – Make calls (by telephone or in person) to allocated donors to maintain and strengthen existing relationships. Act as a first point of contact for resolving donor queries and concerns, specifically as related to events and donor engagement opportunities. Key Account Management – Provide day‑to‑day support on both new and existing accounts by performing prescribed and non‑routine account management activities. Help the account management team responding to more complex donor inquiries. Administration – Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex MSF documents, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues when needed, and using own expertise to help improve processes. Complexity and Problem‑Solving Skills Works independently to manage recurring responsibilities and solve routine operational issues with minimal supervision. Identifies gaps in processes, donor data, or logistics and proactively offers solutions or recommends adjustments. Applies sound judgment when handling sensitive donor information and navigating shifting priorities. Anticipates potential delays or bottlenecks in stewardship workflows, escalating appropriately to ensure deadlines are met. Balances multiple priorities and tasks across stakeholders, timelines, and systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy. People Focus Builds strong relationships and delivers solutions geared to aiding others. Solicits feedback and data; conveys a clear understanding of the level of service the team is providing; takes action when standards are not met by team; aligns processes with organizational needs. Desired Qualifications & Experience Two years of related work experience at a non‑profit; experience in a major gifts team is preferred but not essential. Experience with and knowledge of donor databases and contact management, preferably Salesforce/NPSP. Experience with and knowledge of project management tools, preferably Asana. Demonstrated ability to oversee data integrity and coordinate systems that improve efficiency. Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential donors and organizational information.
