Must-Have: Must have Epic experience. Must pass the Basic Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing the contract. Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips independently.

Description: Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this organization within the past year. Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered. The RN will float between the designated campuses as needed. Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination. Candidates must be willing to precept new staff. The unit encompasses cardiac and telemetry patients, including conditions such as CHF, post-CABG, dysrhythmias, and EP cases. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 both during days and nights. Experience with neuro and cardiac patients is preferred but not mandatory. There are telemetry/monitor techs on the unit, and RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips. The unit will typically float within three designated monitoring pods. The RN will participate in providing care for patients, which may include using CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen as necessary. The shift schedule allows for self-scheduling, but it will be finalized by management. Weekends require 6 shifts every 6 weeks, and holiday coverage includes 2 major and 2 minor holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. Dress code includes navy scrubs; undershirts must also be navy, and scrub jackets are optional. The organization is a recognized heart attack and stroke center with intervention capabilities. Communication within the team is strong, and resources are readily available to all staff. Travelers are welcomed and often extend their assignments for additional duration. This is a high-demand area with opportunities for continuous learning and collaboration among departments.
