Job Summary Summary Responsible for operating a shuttle bus and/or passenger coach-type vehicle. Reports to the Supervisor of Transportation (or to a designated individual in the Supervisor’s absence). Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while en route to/from destinations. Follow established routes and departure times. Communicates with dispatch for guidance on any detours/delays. Operates vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Ensures adherence to passenger limits for both seated and standing passengers. Assists passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift. Reports any emergencies/concerns with the vehicle and/or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher. Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher. Yes Licenses and Credentials MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required Experience Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent driving skills for shuttle buses and coach-type vehicles with the ability to navigate various road and weather conditions safely. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. Great improvisational skills. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills.
