Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Med-Surg is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The RN ensures high-quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment, supporting patient recovery and wellbeing. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in critical care or emergency nursing environments.
• Additional certifications related to specialty nursing areas.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in a hospital setting.

Special Considerations:

• Work involves 12-hour day shifts.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Compliance with hospital policies and procedures is required.

Scheduling:

• 12-hour day shifts totaling 36 hours per week.
• Shift assignments may be subject to change based on staffing needs.
