Market Wage Adjustment

CRNA annual salaries have been adjusted to remain highly competitive in today?s market:

Step 1 Less than 1 year of CRNA experience: Full Time Rate: $298,777.45 annually

Step 2 1 year or more of CRNA experience: Full Time Rate: $310,126.22 annually

Final compensation is based on applicable appointment details, FTE, institutional guidelines, and any governing policies or agreements.

$30,000 CRNA Sign-On Bonus

Newly hired external CRNAs are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus, prorated by FTE, in exchange for a two-year commitment.

Relocation Assistance Available

Newly hired CRNAs may be eligible to receive up to $10,000 in relocation assistance to support their move to Michigan Medicine.

Responsibilities *

Provide anesthesia and anesthesia related care to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and/or surgical procedures to all patients regardless of age under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist, working collaboratively in a team environment. Prepare preoperative assessments including health histories and physical examinations. Develop the Anesthesia Care Plan with the anesthesiologist. Initiate and maintain appropriate perioperativeanesthesiacare. Maintain appropriate patient records including quality assurance documentation. Complete postoperative evaluations in accordance with department policies. Participate in ongoing projects. Support perioperative providers. Other duties orprojects asassigned. Function in accordance with all institutional policies and guidelines. Maintain licensure, certification, credentialing, and current BLS and ACLS or PALS status at all times. This position requires radiation exposure and the requirement to wearthe appropriate(PPE) personal protective equipment. Must be able to fulfill required weekend obligations. Must be self-directed, reliable, demonstrate initiative and motivation to work independently, and demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications *

Current and accurateresumeandapplicationmust be completed.

Minimum of aMaster?sdegree from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.

Current, or ability to obtain, Michigan RN license and certification as a nurse anesthetist prior tohire.

Two years? full time equivalent (FTE) nurse anesthesia experience in an Anesthesia Care Team model.

Current ACLS or PALS certification.

Wear the appropriate (PPE) personal protective equipment as this position requires radiation exposure and the requirement to wear the appropriate PPE.

Call commitment weekends and holidays (1 hour response time).

Work in a myriad of anesthetizing locations.

Desired Qualifications *

Five years of adult ICU nursing experience.

Five years FTE of nurse anesthesia experience.

Demonstration of appropriate interpersonal and communication skills.

Doctoral degree from an accredited educational program.

Work Schedule

Hours: 32 hours per week

Shift Requirements:

Day/Evening/Night rotation; with other requirements as follows:

• Weekday, Weekends, and holidays.

• Variable shift start times and shift lengths.

• Weekend and holiday call obligations.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
