RN - Observation PCU

In-Office | Sun City, AZ, United States

36 hrs, 10/12 start date, Day and night shifts available. Must float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed. Boswell as primary campus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in observation/PCU under RN supervision.

• Identify and escalate potential safety concerns or deterioration promptly.

• Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and response to treatment with accurate documentation.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Document clinical observations, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.

• Assist with triage and prioritization of tasks in a fast-paced PCU environment.

• Utilize care pipelines and metrics to monitor progress toward unit targets.

• Communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans and progress.

• Maintain on-site presence and reliability to support team and patient needs.

• Demonstrate accountability for individual outcomes while contributing to team success.

• Support ongoing professional development and participate in training opportunities.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in the relevant state with active credentials.

• Experience in observation/PCU or similar fast-paced unit.

• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to escalate safety concerns promptly.

• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.

• Understanding of hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• BLS certification; ACLS a plus, or willingness to obtain.

• Proficient in EHR documentation and EMR coding standards.

• Ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.

• Reliability to maintain on-site presence and shift coverage as needed.

• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
