Production Planner

We are helping a long-time hiring manager that is looking for a Planner for their team. This person will be helping to improve and enhance the planning function for this manufacturing facility. There will be a strong emphasis on data analytics, building reports to implement data-driven planning, and improving processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production process, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
- Collaborate with the sales team to accurately forecast future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Identify potential capacity bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve productivity.
- Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
- Participate in regular production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and resolve any schedule conflicts.
- Ensure accuracy of all production orders.
- Regularly assess the performance of the production process and implement changes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- APICS certification a plus. xuwmhxw
- Two years of experience as a Planner or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, Excel skills, and ERP.
