A boutique litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Houston office. The attorney will work closely with experienced litigators on complex disputes, assisting with case strategy, client matters, negotiations, and trial preparation.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents .

• Conduct legal research and prepare research memoranda and written analyses .

• Assist with case strategy, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation .

• Participate in client meetings and provide practical legal guidance under supervision.

• Assist with settlement negotiations and dispute resolution .

• Manage case files, deadlines, and procedural requirements.

• Collaborate with partners, associates, and other legal professionals on active matters.

• Prepare and submit billing in accordance with insurance defense guidelines .

• 2-4 years of legal experience as an associate in Texas.

• J.D. from an accredited law school .

• Active Texas Bar admission or eligibility for admission.

• Previous litigation experience preferred, including law firm practice, clerkships, or internships.

• Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations .

• Experience with or exposure to insurance defense litigation preferred.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and client-service skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, litigation-focused environment .
