The Manager of Community Experience (Cx) at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is responsible for overseeing and enhancing community engagement initiatives. Job Purpose The Manager of Community Experience (Cx) at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is responsible for overseeing and enhancing community engagement initiatives. This role focuses on fostering strong relationships within the community, ensuring the delivery of exceptional experiences, and promoting the YMCA's mission of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance community engagement and experience. Collaborate with community leaders, stakeholders, and partners to identify opportunities for community involvement and support. Lead and manage community events and programs that align with the YMCA's mission and goals. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding in community interactions. Manage and mentor a team of community experience professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives. Prepare and present reports on community engagement activities and outcomes to senior management. Stay informed of community trends and best practices to continuously improve engagement strategies. Ensure compliance with all YMCA policies and procedures in community interactions and events. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field. Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement or a similar role within a nonprofit organization. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful community outreach programs. Experience in managing teams and leading community initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders. Required Skills And Abilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships within the community. Proficiency in project management and organizational skills. Strong analytical skills to assess community needs and develop effective strategies.
