Because at UKG, your work matters—and so do you.About the RoleIn this role, you will drive strategy, execution, and hands-on innovation within our Workforce Management Scheduling portfolio, with a particular focus on advancing Healthcare scheduling capabilities through AI. This is not a role for someone who coordinates from a distance. It's a role for someone who operates at the intersection of product, engineering, and design. Moving from customer insight to working AI prototype to shipped feature without losing momentum at every handoff. AI is not a stretch goal in this role. It is the product strategy. We are building scheduling intelligence that didn't exist before. We need a PM who approaches that challenge with a builder's mindset: part strategist, part architect, part maker.As a product leader, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning complex product areas end-to-end while influencing cross-functional teams across Engineering, Data, Design, and Go-To-Market. You will lead multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously, translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product direction and measurable outcomes; including AI-specific outcomes like model output quality, user trust, and real-world scheduling accuracy.ResponsibilitiesPartner with product leadership to develop and execute a product strategy where AI is the core value driver, not a feature layer on top of an existing productBuild rapid AI prototypes using tools like Cursor, Claude, Replit, or v0 to validate product direction and compress the time from insight to validated conceptDefine what "good" looks like for AI-powered scheduling outputs: model behavior, success criteria, edge cases, and the trust signals that matter to end usersPartner with engineering on prompt design, model tradeoffs, and evaluation pipelines. Contributing technical judgment alongside product directionWork closely with engineering to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions that exceed customer expectations in healthcare schedulingBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to understand scheduling pain points and translate them into AI product opportunitiesPartner with cross-functional teams to bring new AI-powered capabilities to market and enable Go-To-Market teams to tell a compelling story about what we've builtDefine and track AI-specific KPIs, not just adoption metrics, but output quality, scheduling accuracy, time-to-value, and user trust over timeConduct competitive intelligence with an AI lens: what are AI-native scheduling competitors building, where are they winning, and where can UKG's data advantage be decisive?Foster a product culture where hypotheses are tested with working prototypes before engineering investment, not afterBasic Qualifications7+ years delivering or managing SaaS applications within an Agile environment, including demonstrated experience building or shipping AI-powered productsHands-on experience with AI in your product workflow: prototyping, defining model behavior, and measuring AI output quality, not just managing teams that do itExperience working with tools like Cursor, Replit, v0, Claude, or equivalent to prototype product ideas before handoff to engineeringTechnical fluency with AI systems: you understand prompt engineering, model tradeoffs, and evaluation basics at a reasoning level. You don't need to code it, but you need to think clearly about itProven ability to evaluate where AI creates genuine product value versus where it's hype, and to make product bets based on that judgmentExceptional communicator and storyteller: can explain a model limitation to an engineer, frame an AI scheduling capability as a patient-care outcome to a hospital VP, and present a roadmap to a product VP. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
