HR Technology Lead

$82k - $105k

Carson Group Holdings LLC

Job Description

Job Description

Who We Are

In an increasingly complex world where people are starving for someone they can trust, we stand for something simple: always put the client first. We do well by doing good for those we serve. It’s the ultimate measure. We believe in providing value beyond a doubt and in the notion that time will either expose you or promote you, based on your willingness to embrace change.

We serve financial advisors and investors through three entities, each headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska: Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. We provide coaching and partnership services to advisor firms – and straightforward financial advice to the investing public. We all share a common mission to be the most trusted in financial advice.

Who We Want

Lead the strategy, optimization, and ongoing evolution of HR technology to support business growth and effective people practices. Own the HR technology roadmap, vendor relationships, integrations, and automation initiatives that improve processes and employee and manager experiences. Translate business needs into scalable solutions that expand self-service, reduce administrative work, and strengthen workforce reporting. Maintain system functionality, data integrity, and governance across HR platforms. Provide technology expertise to Independent Channel firms through HR Shared Services, including technology assessments, vendor selection, and implementation support.

What To Expect

  • HR Technology Strategy & Optimization: Own the HR technology portfolio and roadmap, aligning platforms and investments with business priorities and evolving people practices. Partner with HR and business leaders to translate needs into scalable technology, automation, and self-service solutions. Evaluate existing and emerging capabilities and recommend improvements based on business value, scalability, user experience, and cost.
  • Vendor & Solution Management: Manage HR technology vendors, consultants, and implementation partners, including performance, service delivery, escalations, licensing, and renewals. Lead technology evaluations and vendor selection, including requirements development, demonstrations, solution assessments, and implementation planning. Hold vendors accountable for deliverables and outcomes while managing technology spend and utilization.
  • Technology Delivery & Integration: Lead HR technology implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives from requirements through deployment. Collaborate across functions to improve processes and data flow between enterprise systems. Oversee configuration, releases, security, testing, and integrations, directly or through internal and external technical resources. Automate workflows, reduce manual processes, and expand employee and manager self-service.
  • Data, Analytics & Governance: Develop workforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics that provide actionable insights and self-service access to information. Maintain technology governance, access controls, documentation, and data quality standards. Partner with appropriate stakeholders to ensure HR technology practices meet applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • HR Technology Consulting: Serve as the HR technology subject matter expert for Independent Channel firms participating in HR Shared Services. Advise firms on HRIS, PEO, payroll, benefits, and related technology solutions, including evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization. Develop scalable solutions and vendor relationships that expand service capabilities and value.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive HR technology or HRIS experience, including system administration, optimization, and technology delivery required.
  • Hands-on UKG Pro administration, configuration, and optimization experience required.
  • UKG Workforce Management experience preferred.
  • Experience configuring HRIS workflows, business rules, security, reporting, and system functionality required.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting system integrations and data interfaces across HR and enterprise platforms required.
  • Experience leading or supporting HR technology implementations, migrations, data conversions, testing, and deployment required.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and implementation partners, including service delivery, issue resolution, and solution evaluation required.
  • Knowledge of HR data governance, access controls, privacy, and data quality practices required.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions, automation, and self-service capabilities required.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable insights required.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities and explain technical concepts to varied audiences required.
  • Experience advising external organizations on HR technology assessment, selection, or implementation preferred.
