*Job Summary*

Boston Eye Physicians and Surgeons is an internationally recognized private ophthalmic surgical practice dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered eye care. Located in Brookline, Massachusetts, our practice combines advanced medical and surgical expertise with a close-knit, collaborative team environment.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate *Optometrist (OD)* to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values high-quality patient care, enjoys working collaboratively with ophthalmologists, and wants to expand their skills in a comprehensive medical eye care setting.

*Optometrist Responsibilities*

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional clinical care while developing meaningful relationships with patients and contributing to our continued growth. Responsibilities include:

* Perform comprehensive eye examinations and provide personalized vision care
* Diagnose, manage, and assist in the treatment of ocular conditions including cataract, glaucoma, dry eye disease, and general ophthalmic conditions
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for ophthalmic surgical patients
* Participate in cataract and other surgical co-management
* Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses when appropriate
* Lead and continue to develop our Dry Eye Clinic services
* Educate patients on ocular health, treatment options, and preventative care
* Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain accurate medical records
* Collaborate closely with our ophthalmologists and clinical team to provide seamless patient care

*Qualifications & Skills*

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited program
* Current Massachusetts optometry license or eligibility
* Residency training preferred but not required
* Strong clinical judgment and commitment to excellent patient outcomes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse patient population
* Professionalism, integrity, and strong ethical standards
* A team-oriented approach with a desire for continued learning and professional growth
* Ability to work full-time onsite

* Starting salary: *$140,000 annually* with production-based bonus opportunity (commensurate with experience)
