Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse*Full-time*

Rivers Health is seeking a full‑time LPN in our Women’s Services Clinic. Responsibilities Perform general nursing duties: assess patients’ general condition, take vital signs, and document all activities, interventions, and medications in the patient record. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. Obtain pre‑certifications, pre‑authorizations, and referrals from insurance companies. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice and instructions. Handle critical lab values promptly and seek physician orders; schedule outside referrals; assist with medical procedures; answer telephone calls; schedule patients for office visits or hospital tests; send prescriptions to pharmacy; call patients with test results. Maintain exam rooms and other patient areas for the physician to examine patients. Ensure safety, infection control, and other policies and procedures are followed in the office. Perform routine office laboratory procedures. Maintain equipment and supplies needed for patient care. Answer phones and triage telephone patient care issues directly to the clinic provider. Adhere to Corporate Policies, JCAHO, Rural Health, Departmental Policies and Procedures, and the Personnel Employee Handbook. Demonstrate professionalism and accountability. Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. Cover nursing personnel absences and complete full range of duties; cover other areas as needed. Perform general receptionist duties, including answering phones, scheduling patients, preparing cash receipts, registering patients, and entering daily charges.
