Key Qualifications:

• Current GA Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Open to SLI Paraprofessionals with near-qualifying EIPA scores planning to retake the exam—potential to transition to full SLI
• Strong command of American Sign Language and a commitment to supporting student communication
• Attention to detail in maintaining daily service logs
• Willingness to collaborate with the district to match your age group preferences and experience with the best-fit assignments

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, effective sign language interpretation services for students and staff during classroom activities and school events
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment by supporting communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and school personnel
• Maintain confidential, daily documentation of interpreting services
• Partner with educators and district personnel to continuously assess and support individual student needs
• Engage in pre/post-planning as needed for smooth service delivery throughout the academic year
