We are seeking a highly skilled, professional, and compassionate Full-Time Phlebotomist to join our concierge medical practice. This position is ideal for an experienced phlebotomist who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and understands the importance of creating a comfortable, personalized experience for every patient.

Our concierge practice provides a high level of individualized care, and our phlebotomist will play an important role in delivering a seamless patient experience—from the moment a patient arrives through completion of their laboratory services.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, dependable, and confident performing venipuncture, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and efficiently.
• Provide a warm, professional, and reassuring experience for patients of all ages.
• Properly identify patients and verify laboratory orders prior to specimen collection.
• Prepare, label, process, and handle specimens according to laboratory and practice protocols.
• Follow all applicable infection-control, safety, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure specimens are handled and transported appropriately.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and outside laboratories as needed.
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies for phlebotomy and laboratory services.
• Keep phlebotomy and laboratory areas clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Assist with other clinical and administrative duties within the scope of training and practice as needed.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service consistent with the standards of a concierge medical practice.
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient satisfaction, and the overall clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Current phlebotomy certification.
• Prior professional phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a small clinical team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for a concierge medical environment.
