Client Overview:

Our client is focused on delivering quality consumer products with an emphasis on consistency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Their operations are guided by high standards, efficient processes, and a commitment to providing dependable solutions for a wide range of market needs. They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k - $70k

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role partners with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Monitor/analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting/finance matters.

Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• 2 - 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Month-end close and audit support experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
• Experience in a multi-entity and/or fast-paced corporate environment.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis processes.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
