Job Summary We are looking for a Trainer to join our team. As a trainer for our company, you will have ownership and accountability to directly train janitorial cleaning services, ensuring that any building is kept neat and clean at all times. Essential Functions On‑the‑job training for staff on job‑specific tasks. Identify and resolve problems, and provide recommendations to management for continuous quality improvement. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas and provide work direction to janitorial employees. Assist the supervisor in delegating operation schedules to ensure proper work area coverage. Evaluate personnel performance and inspect assigned areas to ensure proper work performance. Provide hands‑on support and perform work when necessary, which may include dust mopping, sweeping, stripping/refinishing, carpet scrubbing, servicing restrooms, window washing, etc. Report any issues, concerns, or discrepancies to the supervisor. Address customer concerns and inquiries and report any new or changing job/work orders. Participate in company and customer training to ensure effective communication and distribution of information to supervisors and employees. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies, customer rules and regulations, and applicable laws. Knowledge and Skills Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies for maintenance work. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Leadership and motivational skills. Ability to work individually and as part of a team; articulate and able to communicate with people at all organizational levels. Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word) and familiarity with Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bi‑lingual English/Spanish desired. Education and Work Experience High school diploma or GED required. Three to five years of related experience and/or training in the janitorial/facilities field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred. Work Environment Fast‑paced office setting with occasional shop‑environment exposure. Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks. Moderate noise level. Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. Requirements Clean DMV record. Pass a criminal background screening. Physical Demands Employee may need to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of office and facilities equipment.
