Job Description Paraprofessional Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Location: Monterey, California; Onsite - School Setting Position Summary As a Paraprofessional, you will provide classroom, behavioral, and personal support services to students across various grade levels within a school setting. This role supports both academic instruction and daily student needs while collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and support teams to maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Responsibilities may vary based on student age, classroom placement, and individualized student needs. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday-Friday Hours per week: Full-time and part-time opportunities available Contract length: School year, subject to district staffing needs Key Duties Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities for individual students and small groups Reinforce lessons, classroom routines, and academic concepts in core subject areas Support students with toileting, diapering, feeding, hygiene, mobility, and other daily living tasks as needed Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during arrival and dismissal Collect and document student data under the supervision of a BCBA when required by the district Prepare classroom materials, perform light clerical duties, and support overall classroom organization Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and support teams to promote student success and safety Participate in trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned Requirements Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Must meet one of the following: Associate's degree or higher Completion of 48 semester units from an accredited college or university Passing score on the California Paraprofessional Exam (ParaPro Assessment) Licenses & Certifications Required: Ability to pass background check and meet district employment requirements Skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff in a classroom environment Strong communication skills, reliability, and a student-centered approach Comfortable providing toileting, diapering, and other personal care support to students Physical ability to assist with lifting, mobility support, and extended periods of standing or movement Benefits Per Diem / Temporary (Hourly) Roles Comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision Company-paid Basic Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability for employees working 30+ hours/week Paid sick leave may be available based on hours worked and state laws Benefit offerings are subject to legal requirements, eligibility status, and work location Employees 21+ can participate in the 401(k) Savings Plan About Us RCM Healthcare Services works with professionals across schools, healthcare, and community-based settings nationwide.
