Patient Care Unit Technician Medical Oncology Full time 7am730pm

We are looking for a Surgical Scrub Technologist for our Surgery Center.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of above named the Surgical Technician is responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competence.

• Communicates plan of care to other health care members.
• Applies specialized knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous clinical experience in Operating Room environment is desired.
• Certification in Operating Room Technology preferred.
• Current certification in CPR.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Pushing, pulling and lifting of patients and/or equipment.
• Dexterity skills needed for patient treatment.
• Exposure to blood and body fluids and other hazardous materials.
• Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and/or walking.

Required Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current certification in CPR.
