Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room / Circulator

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process in an operating room setting
• Perform circulating nurse duties throughout surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure patient health and safety during operations
• Monitor patients and maintain standards for professional nursing practice in accordance with medical center policy, mission, and regulatory guidelines
• Support a full spectrum of surgical cases including orthopedic, general, gynecological, urological, and neurological procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
• Must be able to perform circulating nurse duties
• Experience with Ortho, General, GYN, Urology, and Neuro surgical specialties required
• Active Michigan RN license required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Familiarity with Paragon EMR system preferred
