Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Surgical Services team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute hospital operating room environment and hold relevant certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet their needs for sterile supplies and instrumentation.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies during all processing tasks.
• Conduct routine checks and inspection of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
• Assist in training new staff members regarding sterile processing techniques and safety measures.

Qualifications

• Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required.
• Prior experience in an acute hospital operating room environment is a must.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex sterilization protocols.
• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position.

Work Schedule

This position requires working a 5-day, 8-hour shift, specifically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Additional Information

Perm candidates from other facilities (excluding specific systems) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for a minimum of 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses.
