Our extensive array of community-based services are fully integrated, bilingual and culturally competent.Position OverviewUnder the supervision of the OASAS Program Nursing Director, the RN Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in accordance with the nursing process within an OASAS-regulated treatment setting. This role serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and continuity of care across all clinical services. The RN Supervisor oversees nursing staff and operations, facilitates coordination between disciplines, and ensures that essential patient information is accurately communicated through appropriate documentation and verbal reporting. When direct care is not provided, the RN Supervisor delegates responsibilities to qualified clinical staff in accordance with scope of practice standards. The RN Supervisor is also responsible for providing operational support across programs, including coverage during staffing shortages, call-outs, and high-volume periods to maintain safe and effective patient care delivery. This position may require assignment flexibility across clinic sites and participation in Mobile Medication Unit (MMU) services to support outreach and medication administration in the community. The RN Supervisor is accountable for maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational regulations, including New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) requirements, to promote quality care, patient safety, and program integrity.Key Essential FunctionsUses computer for basic word processing and / or basic spreadsheet use.Uses a variety of software packages to maintain databases and create complex, custom reports.Supervises all the RN's, LPN's, and Medical Assistant's and monitors productivity to ensures policies and procedures are being followed.Assists the Medical Director with the history and physicals of the outpatient clients.Conducts monthly audits of client records and present the results to the QA committee.Develops an action plan to address trends.Dispensing of methadone as required.Conduct preliminary nursing assessments.Reviews daily, weekly and monthly reports of the methadone clinic.Reviews policies and procedures with Director and participates in any changes that need to be tailored to the flow of operation.Participates in weekly client case conferences.Conducts "Health related topics" group meeting.Assists the Regional and Assistant director with the day-to-day operations, when necessary, in the home program and mobile units where services are being provided.Other duties as assigned as needed.RequirementsHigh School Diploma required.Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred.Graduate of an accredited Nursing School.Must possess a valid and unrestricted NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse.Minimum three (3) years practical experience in substance use disorder program required.Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.Current NYS mandated infection control certification (approved by NYSDOH, valid for four years, 4.0 hours).Must obtain Mandated reporter (2 hours) within thirty (30) days.Obtain within six months of hire:Supporting Recovery with Medications Addiction Treatment (MAT)CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 hours)Knowledge of substance/alcohol dependence/abuse population.Specialty Area may include but not limited to Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.Must be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity.Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.Why Join Us?Acacia Network provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to our employees.
