Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician to join our team in Bridgeview!

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and possess expertise in diesel engines, air brakes, clutches, drive lines, wheel bearings, brakes, batteries, and cooling systems. A CDL driving license is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty truck systems, including diesel engines, air brakes, clutches, drive lines, wheel bearings, and braking systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and service on heavy-duty trucks, ensuring all components are in optimal working condition.
• Conduct testing and replacements of batteries, charging systems, and cooling systems.
• Inspect and test air brake systems, including valve knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Operate trucks to diagnose and test repairs if holding a CDL driving license.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks.
• CDL driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
