ASTONE Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a client delivering AI data center and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. Successful candidates will join our client’s organization directly. ASTONE manages the initial screening and candidate introduction process.

The Opportunity

Own procurement packages that directly affect project cost, equipment availability, and construction schedules.

This role combines technical sourcing, commercial negotiation, and hands-on delivery coordination for AI data center infrastructure. You will work across engineering, construction, IT infrastructure, and project management teams to move equipment and services from procurement planning through site delivery and commissioning support.

What You’ll Do

• Procure data center equipment and project services, including racks, power distribution, HVAC, fire protection, low-voltage systems, structured cabling, MEP installation, and engineering services.
• Develop procurement strategies and schedules aligned with project budgets, work breakdown structures, and delivery milestones.
• Plan early for long-lead equipment and identify supply constraints that could affect the critical path.
• Source and prequalify North American suppliers; manage RFQs, technical clarifications, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, and purchase or subcontract agreements.
• Work with engineering and project teams to confirm specifications, procurement scope, delivery requirements, and installation interfaces.
• Track manufacturing, factory acceptance testing, shipping, customs clearance, site delivery, and supplier support during installation and commissioning.
• Improve cost performance through value engineering, alternative sourcing, framework agreements, and local procurement.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, safety, compliance, site coordination, and after-sales support.
• Manage supply risks involving capacity, tariffs, import restrictions, required certifications, labor compliance, and project changes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, change logs, payment milestones, and supplier documentation.

What You Bring

• At least 3 years of procurement experience in EPC, data centers, MEP construction, energy infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with critical infrastructure equipment, long-lead procurement, subcontracted services, and construction or commissioning coordination.
• The ability to independently manage RFQs, commercial contract reviews, technical clarifications, and supplier communications in English.
• Strong negotiation skills, cost awareness, and the ability to balance price, technical suitability, delivery, and supplier risk.
• Working knowledge of Incoterms, international logistics, customs clearance, contract terms, and milestone payments.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/SRM systems and project management tools.
• Strong organization and communication skills across technical, commercial, and project teams.
• The ability to coordinate across time zones and manage competing priorities during critical project phases.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher; supply chain management, engineering management, mechanical or electrical engineering, civil engineering, international trade, or a related field is preferred.

North American project procurement experience is particularly valuable.
