St. Francis Winery & Vineyards is an ultra-premium winery located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. We are a certified sustainable family‑owned winery known for award‑winning wines and outstanding wine & food pairing experiences. This is an hourly, full‑time position that requires a flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be occasionally required on short notice. The anticipated pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares food products according to St. Francis Winery portion and quality specifications, carefully following all identified specifications and recipes and adhering to all safety and sanitation procedures. Demonstrates understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Maintains a sanitary, organized work area at all times. Keeps the kitchen clean and organized throughout the day and performs closing clean‑up responsibilities. Ensures that all food has been properly labeled, stored and refrigerated in compliance with Health Department guidelines. Works effectively with tasting room and kitchen teams through daily duties and operations, providing assistance as needed to ensure optimum service to all guests. Fully supports the Winery’s policies and procedures. Fully supports the Company’s commitment towards established safety practices and policies. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef at any time. REQUIREMENTS Previous food service or kitchen experience required. Food preparation experience and knife skills preferred; food handler certification beneficial. Must be able to read and write in English to read recipes, provide written updates to oncoming staff, and communicate with other employees. Basic math skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements and portion sizes. Ability to follow food preparation and presentation requirements to ensure high quality of food provided to guests. Working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation and adherence to all safety and sanitation procedures. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional and courteous manner. Creative, flexible, and innovative team player. Positive, professional appearance and demeanor to project a favorable image of the Winery at all times. Must be at least 21 years of age.
