CNC Lathe MachinistPay: $30.00/hour+Schedule: First Shift | Flexible Start Times AvailablePosition OverviewWe are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our machining team on first shift. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC lathes equipped with Fanuc controls to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, be comfortable making program edits and offsets, and have a solid understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and quality inspections.If you enjoy working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship are valued, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your machining career.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathe machines with Fanuc controls.Edit and adjust existing CNC programs to improve performance, cycle times, and part quality.Load, secure, and fixture parts for machining operations.Perform complete machine setups, including tool offsets and touch-offs.Conduct first-piece inspections and make necessary program or offset adjustments before production runs.Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and other precision measuring equipment.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.Monitor production runs to ensure consistent quality and adherence to tolerances.Operate and oversee multiple CNC lathes while maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and efficiencies.Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.Why Join Us?Competitive pay of $30.00/hour+First-shift schedule with flexible start timesStable, family-oriented work environmentOpportunity for career growth and advancementWork alongside an experienced and knowledgeable machining teamSupportive culture focused on quality, teamwork, and continuous improvementJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Rochester, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
