Bus Sales Representative

Bus Sales Representative Department: HOLT Truck (TRUCK) Employment Type: Full Time Location: HTT - Houston Bus Description Serves customers by selling vehicles; meeting customer needs. Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company's products and/or related services. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers. Additional Role Specific Job Summary Items: New Bus: Serves customers by selling buses; meeting customer needs. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values Collaborate with key internal and external resources Participate in ongoing self-development Essential Functions Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Prospects for new customers in a manner prescribed by management Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers Maintains client and prospect databases Follows department procedures in completing bus paperwork using available system tools Coordinates service work with the service department Coordinates financing and insurance with the appropriate departments Is available for required meetings and other appointed times consistent and required to conduct and maintain sales department business Meets established performance criteria as determined by sales manager Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business accounts/customers Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers Results oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1-year Commercial Bus Sales experience required Must possess 2-3 years of experience in equipment or related bus/vehicle sales Supervisory Responsibilities: None Travel: Willing to travel about sales region Valid driver's license Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms Work Environment: This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruption Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
