Project Scheduler

Job Summary

The Project Scheduler supports the planning, coordination, and monitoring of construction schedules across multiple projects. This role primarily focuses on assisting with schedule development during the proposal phase and partnering with superintendents and project teams to maintain, update, and improve active project schedules. The Project Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring schedules are realistic, properly maintained, and aligned with project goals and field conditions.

• Support preconstruction and estimating teams by developing preliminary schedules, milestone timelines, and phasing plans for proposals.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scheduling constraints, risks, and sequencing considerations.
• Review and evaluate project schedules created by superintendents and project managers for logic, duration accuracy, and completeness.
• Collaborate with superintendents and project managers to update and maintain active project schedules, ensuring alignment with field progress and conditions.
• Identify potential schedule conflicts, delays, or impacts and assist project teams in developing mitigation or recovery plans.
• Facilitate and participate in regular schedule review meetings with project teams.
• Track and monitor key project milestones and schedule performance across multiple projects.
• Assist project team to prepare and distribute internal and client-facing schedule updates and reports.
• Provide guidance, direction, and support to field teams on scheduling best practices and use of scheduling tools, especially with regard to difficult project impacts. Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages.
• Assist in standardizing scheduling processes, templates, and reporting methods across projects.
• Support documentation and analysis related to schedule changes, delays, and impacts.
• Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, and field staff to ensure schedules reflect current project sequencing and resource planning.

Work Environment

This job operates in a construction work site environment with others as well as in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and personal protection equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use manual dexterity. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, lift or carry up to 20 lbs., speak, hear, use eye/hand coordination, and reach with arms and hands. The employee must frequently be able to work in a construction job site environment, including but not limited to working outside, working alone, excessive dampness, excessive heat/cold, fumes/smoke/gases/chemicals/solvents, walking on uneven surfaces, noise/vibrations, and working around moving equipment/machinery. The employee is frequently required to climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work/Travel

Ability to travel to any location where Bryan Construction conducts business. Ability to travel to multiple locations or job sites daily or weekly as needed. Work may require occasional weekend and evening work.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle
• Experience partnering with subcontractors
• Experience with ground up, design-build and renovation projects
• Experience managing and/or scheduling complex, multi-phase construction projects
• Experience with Federal contracting and USACE scheduling requirements
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience reviewing subcontracts for identifying and implementing resources and tasks into a schedule
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Experience using Bluebeam
• Experience using construction scheduling software, preferably P6 and ASTA Power Project
• Experience using construction management software, preferably Procore
• Experience working with permitting, licensing, and inspection requirements in order to understand scheduling requirements and delay claim processes that are outlined
• Experience with document management and/or contract review
• Experience building and managing a project schedule
• Project closeout experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent
• Previous field construction experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager
• Experience using P6 and Asta Power Project software
• Experience using Procore software
• Experience working for a general contractor as a Superintendent
• ICRA training
• Experience working with Bryan Construction’s core markets
• Experience working with jurisdictions where Bryan Construction does business
• Experience reviewing project budgets
• Applied knowledge of Stormwater Protection Programs (SWPP)
• Experience using software to build a site logistics plan

**Drug Screening and Background Investigation Required**

Salary Range: $111,000 - $140,000
