Water Truck Driver- Renewable Energy

Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating and transporting water for dust control and to electrical crews for backfill of trenches.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform proper pre and post trip inspections, as well as daily maintenance.
• Perform proper machine start-up, operation, and shutdown.
• Operate safely and efficiently.
• Fill truck tank with water
• Spray water in designated areas
• Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels and mechanical fitness.
• May be required to get out of truck and spray water in trenches.
• Operate other heavy equipment, and other construction-related duties as required.
• Ensure safe work practices.
• Attending mandatory training sessions on installation methodology and safety.
• Works collaboratively with installers, crew leads, supervisors, superintendents, and managers.
• Attends meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sun.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Manual dexterity is required while working with tools.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, able to bend, kneel, squat, and reach at or above shoulder level.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position.
• Overtime may be required.

Travel:

Willing and able to travel based on the needs of the business

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2 + yrs. experience in construction and or with heavy equipment.
• Ability to pass background checks, pre-employment, and random drug screenings.
• Insurability must have clean driving record, and valid drivers' license.
