Job Summary
Instructional faculty for the English Department may be asked to teach courses required for general education English classes.
Compensation: $900 per credit hour. Priority Screening Date: Position is open until filled. Starting Date: As soon as practical after the hiring process. Position filled on an as needed basis. Principal Responsibilities and Results, KSA's ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - this position is e xempt and is not eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA. - Master's degree in English, English Education, or closely related field from an accredited institution ORMaster's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years or more of community college teaching experience
- One year or more of experience with web-based learning management systems
- Four or more years of composition teaching experience and success with diverse populations (e.g. developmental, at-risk non-traditional, first generation, students with learning and other disabilities).
- One year or more of experience teaching co-requisite courses with a focus on integrated reading and writing.
