Schedule Full Time Days Overview Wilson Medical Center is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Cat Scan (CT) Technician, you’ll provide essential imaging services while prioritizing patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Professional Development : Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities. Requirements Education : Two (2)-year certificate, associate degree, and/or baccalaureate degree. Minimum Work Experience : One year of DMS experience preferred for ARRTs. Licenses : Current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state of North Carolina; Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS). On‑Call Availability : Must accept on‑call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts and be available to report to facility within 30 minutes of notification. Skills and Abilities : Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, composure in stressful environments, appropriate action in emergencies.
