Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a Registered Nurse to join an Outpatient Surgery Center team specializing in operating room procedures. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment with a standard Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operative procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and maintain patient safety throughout procedures.
• Document clinical procedures and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols, including lab work and charting requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate smooth patient flow and care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with proper certification in hand prior to orientation.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in an operative or surgical setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge of outpatient surgical procedures and safety protocols.
• Be able to complete required lab items within 72 hours of acceptance.
• Show familiarity with electronic charting systems, preferably Altera.
• Comply with travel and local radius restrictions; candidates must be within 150 miles if RN/LVN or 50 miles if Allied/CNA.
