Electrical Technician : Harmon , Illinois

Our customer in Harmon, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We are recruiting an Electrical Technician to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for removing bad parts, replacing them with good parts, and performing board-level repair work with a strong focus on quality and reliability.

 

Responsibilities of the  Electrical Technician :

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuit boards to identify issues at the component level. 
• Perform repairs on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) by soldering, replacing, and reworking components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, transformers, and fuses. 
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test boards and isolate problems. 
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to guide repair work. 
• Perform functional testing and calibration on repaired boards to ensure compliance with specifications. 
• Maintain accurate documentation of repair processes, part replacements, and testing results. 
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve recurring issues and improve board reliability. 
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols. 
• Keep up to date with new technologies, tools, and best practices in board-level repair. 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

 

Electrical Technician   Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience removing bad parts and replacing them with good parts on electronic boards. 
• Background in taking things apart and rebuilding boards is highly preferred. 
• Knowledge of transformers, fuses, capacitors, and other board-level components. 
• Ability to solder and perform precise electronic rework. 
• Prior experience in electronic repair, electronic assembly, or board-level troubleshooting preferred. 
• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination. 
• Ability to read schematics and follow repair instructions. 
• Comfortable using test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining an organized workspace. 

 

Pay for  Electrical Technician : Starting at $18/hour.
