Merchandising Lead

Position Summary Responsible for providing member service and overseeing associates in a Sam's Club location. Duties include greeting members, assisting with product selection and technology, supervising staff, stocking merchandise, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining merchandising standards. Responsibilities Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding and supporting members regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting company products. Assist management in supervising associates by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and providing direction on member service techniques. Receive, stock and organize supplies, merchandise and floor displays. Maintain accurate paperwork, logs and documentation in accordance with company policies. Conduct safety sweeps, ensure proper forklift spotting, handle hazardous materials, and report unsafe conditions. Maintain sales‑floor presentation by handling returns, zoning, stocking, arranging merchandise, pricing, and identifying shrink/damaged goods. Monitor food and merchandise quality, product rotation, code dating, recalls, sanitation standards, and overall merchandising standards. Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders throughout the day, ensuring accurate selection and staging. Develop and implement processes to meet business needs, analyze information, monitor results, and identify improvements. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; assist in addressing issues and applying the Open Door Policy. Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, provide feedback, and model adaptation to change. Support the team by mentoring, recognizing contributions, and building strong relationships. Act with integrity, maintain ethical standards, and support company goals for a regenerative future. Serve customers and members, deliver results, make decisions with reliable data, and balance short and long‑term priorities. Strive for excellence by learning, taking calculated risks, driving continuous improvement, and adopting new technologies. Minimum Qualifications Minimum age 18 years. At least 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Team leadership and supervisory experience, including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload of others.
