Estimating Assistant

Craig Tuttle Construction is looking for a dependable and organized Estimating Assistant to provide administrative support for our estimating process. This is a support position and does not require the employee to independently estimate or price projects. Responsibilities Make phone calls to subcontractors and vendors regarding bids and pricing Follow up on outstanding bid requests Send emails, bid information, and reminders as directed Help track which subcontractor bids have been received and which are still outstanding Enter bid, subcontractor, vendor, and project information Organize proposals, pricing, and other estimating documents Assist with gathering information needed for estimates Update subcontractor and vendor contact information Perform data entry and maintain organized estimating records Assist the estimator and company management with various estimating-related tasks Provide additional administrative support as needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating over the phone and by email. The right person should be able to follow directions, stay on top of assigned follow-ups, accurately enter information, and manage multiple small tasks without things falling through the cracks. Previous construction experience is helpful but not necessarily required. Familiarity with construction terminology, plans, bids, or estimating is a plus.
