Job Description A prestigious nationwide healthcare organization providing service to a chain of nursing homes in New York in Montclair, NJ, is looking to immediately hire a gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with an active NJ license to work collaboratively with their teams of gastroenterologists and healthcare professionals at various nursing homes across the state of New Jersey, providing comprehensive gastroenterology care to patients. Your expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing gastroenterology conditions will be pivotal in delivering high-quality patient-centered care. These centers offer a compensation package based on a combination of a base salary and the Relative Value Unit (RVU) system, with an average total compensation ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year and a benefits package. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care Assessing and treating patients with gastroenterology diseases and conditions Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations Order and interpret diagnostic tests Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans Prescribe medications and administer treatments Provide counseling to residents and their families Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress Make appropriate adjustments to care plans Commitment to person‑centered care Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home Qualifications 6 months experience in long‑term care DEA License Active NJ state license Experience in gastroenterology (1 year min.)
