About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Research Administration and Sponsored Programs to provide central leadership for the research enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pre-award and non-financial post-award activities related to extramurally sponsored projects. This includes leading the Office of Sponsored Programs in supporting faculty and staff to secure external funding, ensuring fiscal compliance with federal regulations, and developing and implementing business processes that promote efficient and responsible research practices. The role also involves supervising a team of specialists, working closely with faculty and administrative leaders to develop leading-edge business processes, and representing the company at various external professional venues. Applicants must have a master's degree and at least 8 years' of relevant sponsored program administration experience, with a preference for those with a background in higher education. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership across the full sponsored programs lifecycle, advanced knowledge of federal regulations, and a strong command of core research administration functions. The role requires the ability to re-engineer operations, formulate policies, and develop financial plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and lead interdisciplinary teams and mentor staff. The candidate should be committed to the role, collaborative, and capable of leading in service of shared institutional goals.
