Building Maintenance Worker

This role focuses on performing daily building and facility maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and presentable. You will handle a mix of preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and janitorial duties, working around both older equipment and newer automated machinery in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building maintenance tasks such as changing air filters, replacing light bulbs, and completing minor repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities to keep equipment and facilities in good working condition.
• Handle basic painting and touch-up work to maintain a clean and professional appearance of the facility.
• Perform janitorial duties as needed, including general cleaning and upkeep of work areas.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of building maintenance experience.
• Experience in facility maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Janitorial experience in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in high heat conditions, including temperatures up to approximately 120–130 degrees.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds or more as part of daily job duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Comfort performing a variety of tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and janitorial work.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with both older and modern equipment.
• Willingness to work different shifts, including first, second, or weekend shifts as needed.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to start quickly.

The facility is a non–climate-controlled industrial environment where machines generate steam. Shifts include a first shift from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30/4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, a second shift from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and an additional weekend shift. The dress code requires jeans, a work shirt, and steel-toe footwear to ensure safety and durability in this industrial setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
